Trio of authors at the Grove Bookshop in Ilkley

Over the coming months, the Grove Bookshop in Ilkley is excited to be hosting a number of author events.

On Thursday 31 March local author Imogen Clark will be at the shop to talk about her new book, Impossible to Forget, a poignant tale about a young woman's bereavement and her mother's unusual dying wish. Tickets are free, but should be reserved from the shop as space is limited. Imogen's book is published by Lake Union at £8.99.

Then on Wednesday 18 May the shop will be hosting an illustrated talk by Natasha Solomons to celebrate her book, I, Mona Lisa, an intriguing novel told from the point of view of the world's most famous painting. Tickets for this event are £3 (redeemable against the price of the book on the night). I, Mona Lisa is published in hardback by Hutchinson Heinemann at £14.99.

Talking about the third event, Mike Sansbury. Manager at Grove Bookshop, said: “We are very excited to announce an event with Stacey Halls, author of The Familiars and The Foundling.

“Stacey will be discussing her latest book, Mrs England, a creepy Edwardian mystery story set in West Yorkshire. This event will be held at Ilkley Playhouse in their Wildman Theatre on Friday 1st July at 7.30pm, and tickets are £3, obtainable from the bookshop and redeemable against book purchases on the night”.
