Timothy Taylor's brings back Celebration Ale for King's coronation

Keighley-based Timothy Taylor's has brought back a special beer that was originally brewed to mark the visit of Prince Charles to the brewery more than 20 years ago.

'Royal Ale' was created back in 2001 when the then Prince of Wales toured the Knowle Spring site. It also made a special reappearance in 2008 as 'Celebration Ale' to celebrate the company's 150th anniversary.

Celebration Ale will be available again in the run-up to King Charles III's coronation on 6th May - both as a cask ale in Timothy Taylor's pubs and in bottles via mail order.

It's described as a "strong English amber ale with a rich bronze colour that weighs in at 5.0% ABV. It’s robust with a fruity, candied peel aroma and has subtle hints of dried fruits, orange, and apricot on the tongue."

Keighley pub Taylor's on the Green and the Woolly Sheep Inn on Skipton High Street will be among the outlets where the beer is available over the next few weeks.

Bottles can also be bought in packs of between 12 and 48 direct from the brewery's website - or in a special two-bottle gift pack that comes with a pint glass.
