The Duke opens Ilkley Film Society’s new season

Ilkley Film Society opens its new season on Sunday 11th September with the British film, The Duke, starring Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren.

From September to June at Ilkley Playhouse (Sundays at 8pm) the society will screen 21 films from 11 different countries.

The programme includes Oscar and BAFTA winning titles like Nomadland and After Love, and lesser known films from Kosovo and Croatia, Iran and Japan.

Full membership for the season costs £40, with nothing more to pay - a price which the society has kept unchanged for 8 seasons! Limited membership, with admission to any 10 films, is available for £30. Members can also have a complementary drink at the after-film discussion group. Non-members are very welcome with tickets costing £4 on the door (cash please).

A membership application form is included in the Film Society brochure, available from the Visitor Centre in Ilkley Library and from the Clarke Foley Community Centre. The form can also be downloaded from the society's website at www.ilkleyfilmsociety.org.uk where further information about all the films will be found
