Six arrests in Keighley after co-ordinated raids

A police operation in Keighley this week has resulted in six arrests and the seizure of drugs, cars and cash.

Bradford’s Programme Precision Team was supported by NPT, response officers, District Crime team and PIT teams.

Officers say the aim of the operation was to tackle and disrupt organised crime in the area.

On Monday 12 April and Tuesday 13 April the teams executed a number of warrants at various locations in Keighley.

The operation led to multiple arrests, including one man who was wanted on recall to prison. A significant amount of Class A and B drugs removed from the streets of the town.

One man arrested as part of the operation was found with 500 wraps of Class A drugs - he was subsequently charged and he appeared in court yesterday (13 April) where he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Daniel Coyle, 22, of Moorhouse Avenue, Bradford will next appear at Bradford Crown Court on 5 May.

Full results from the last two days:

  • Six people arrested
  • Significant quantities of Class A and B drugs seized
  • 5 vehicles seized.
  • Can of CS spray and knuckle duster seized
  • Up to £10,000 in cash seized

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, of Bradford District Police, said: “Operations such as this is incredibly important for the local community and the teams have been working tirelessly on planning it. We hope that the local residents and businesses of Keighley feel reassured and confident in our efforts to tackle criminality and keep them safe.

“We remain committed to doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of all people who live, work and visit Bradford and to target those individuals who are involved in drug dealing and organised crime.

“This positive action and results was led by intelligence and information we received from the local communities; we have used all the information provided and this has been our direct response. I cannot stress how vital some intelligence we receive is and I would continue to encourage local communities to come forward with any concerns or issues.”
