Seven arrests made in Keighley drug raids

Police have seized drugs, cash and mobile phones as part of targeted activity aimed at tackling County Lines organised crime and exploitation in Keighley.

Six warrants were executed at addresses in the town with seven men arrested.

Items seized included over £18,000 in cash, quantities of cannabis and several mobile phones.

The suspects were released pending further investigations.

Inspector John Barker of the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) said: “West Yorkshire Police is committed to targeting organised criminals and disrupting county lines activities.”

“These warrants support the work of the Keighley Together Partnership in tackling the blight of drugs in our area.

“Protecting our communities is a priority for us and, by working with officers from the Bradford District Programme Precision team, we are able to safeguard the vulnerable and tackle the organised gangs who peddle in misery.”

“Information from the community plays a vital role in tackling drug crime, I would therefore encourage anyone who has any information about drug dealing or suspicions about people involved in drug dealing to contact us directly via 101 or westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat or via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
