Rail users' meeting to say farewell to retiring Northern manager

Members of the Aire Valley Rail Users Group are holding a meeting next week to say goodbye to Pete Myers, Stakeholder Manager at Northern who is retiring.

The event takes place this Monday (28th November) at 7.30pm at the Swadford Centre on Swadford Street in Skipton.

Members of the group and Friends of the Airedale Line are welcome to attend, along with members of the public.

A spokesperson for the AVRUG said: "The meeting is to say a fond farewell to Pete Myers, Stakeholder Manager at Northern Rail who has been a friend of the group for many years and who is about to retire.

"He has been guest speaker at many of our annual meetings. Pete will talk about his 30-year career on the railways and there will then be a chance to ask questions."

The Aire Valley Rail Users Group is a voluntary organisation. It campaigns for improvements in rail services between Leeds, Bradford, Shipley, Bingley, Keighley, Skipton, and Gargrave.
