A former funeral home could be converted into a bungalow if new plans are approved.
A planning application for the conversion of the Chapel of Rest at Green Avenue in Silsden says the work would lead to “substantial investment” in the building.
Submitted by R Badahur, the plans are to convert the building into an assisted living bungalow.
It would have a double bedroom and a carer’s bedroom.
The application says: “The proposal ensures the dwelling is up to the standard needed to house anyone who needs assisted living.
“The proposal will remove a use that is now considered unsuitable for a residential area.”
A decision on the application is expected in September.
