Pat’s Party back for one final hurrah

An annual fundraising festival in Ben Rhydding makes a welcome return in the summer for one last party.

The first Pat’s Party took place in 2004, the brainchild of Pat Evans who sadly passed away from cancer the following year. Since then, her friends and family have kept the idea alive and have raised over £120,000 for Save the Children.

Organisers say: “More recently money raised has built and maintained a classroom at a school in an impoverished village in the Gambia. Due to these efforts the school has now been adopted by the Gambian government and so this year all of our fundraising will go directly to Save the Children.

“We think this will be the last ever Pat’s Party, so are making a big effort to make it a success. We look forward to seeing you all there”!

This years’ summer family music festival will take place on Saturday 18 June in the paddock of 27 Moorfield Road, Ben Rhydding, between 2pm and 9pm.

There will be the usual attractions: a children’s tent, a safe space for children to run around in, circus skills workshops, a zip wire, a beer tent, a Pimms bar, Indian cuisine and an extraordinary selection of live music.

Tickets prices are: Adults £8, Teens £2, Under 10s Free, these will be available at Furniss Butchers in Ben Rhydding and on line at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pat-s-party1.

Follow the Pat's Party Facebook page for event updates.
