Marvellous Makers Xmas Market this weekend

Mrs Duttons Wondrous Workshops in Ilkley will offer a feast of affordable gifts and stocking fillers at its Marvellous Makers Xmas Market this weekend.

Entry is free to the pop-up fair that brings together a hand-picked group of talented Yorkshire textile artists, designers and makers to the Church Street venue, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 December 11am-4pm

A spokesperson said: "The skills of the stall holders demonstrate what is possible when you have found your passion. Together, they represent a wide range of handicrafts from knitting, weaving and felting to quilting, crochet and embroidery. The pop-up market is also an opportunity to discover what’s coming up in the new year at Mrs Duttons Wondrous Workshops and to purchase gift vouchers to share the love of making with family and friends."

Participants include:

Amanda Blackwell, Joe’s Toes: Contemporary designs in wool-rich felts and yarns, from toasty slippers to delightful decorations.

Crafty Lynda: Baby quilts, Yorkshire cushions and crochet throws, all hand made in Ilkley with love.

Rachel Walker, Little Beacons: Hand printed textiles for family and home on linen and organic cotton in gender-neutral colours.

Paula Perrins, Wychbury Designs: Imaginative embellished textile decorations and festive treats that stitch joy into your life.

Julie Nelson-Rhodes, TillyFlop Designs: Cards, prints and fabrics by a graphic designer determined to spread knitting and stitching love!
