Keighley-brewed beer served in Houses of Parliament

Timothy Taylor's famous Landlord is being served to MPs and Peers after the Keighley brewery was nominated for a guest spot in the Strangers' Bar in the Houses of Parliament.

Timothy Taylor’s CEO Tim Dewey travelled down to Westminster alongside the brewery's Business Development Managers Dan Watson and Joe Bateman to pull a pint alongside Keighley Robbie Moore, who put Landlord forward to be featured.

Timothy Taylor’s first established their brewery in the centre of Keighley in 1858, moving to the Knowle Spring in 1863. Brewed in Keighley, Timothy Taylor’s Landlord is a 4.3% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma and has won more awards than any other beer, winning CAMRA’s 'Beer of the Year’ for the first time in 1982 and the first ever ‘double’ for beer in 1991 as CAMRA’s ‘Beer of the Year’ and the Brewers’ Championship ‘Draught Beer Cup’.

Robbie Moore MP said: ”I am determined to ensure Keighley is put on the map, and what better way to do it than ensure one of our finest national ales is on tap in Parliament.

"Since its establishment in 1858, Timothy Taylor's has been a huge part of our community and their presence in Keighley has contributed to our town's pride and identity.

"I am thrilled to see them receive recognition in Parliament, and it was great to welcome Tim Dewey and his team down to Westminster to pull the first pint."
