Organisers of Keighley Arts and Film Festival have unveiled full details of the fun-packed weekend of events, 8-10 October.
Keighley Creative said it was a festival for all of Keighley, with all events either free or low-cost.
A festival spokesperson said: “KAFF is primary by and for Keighley people, but it is getting wider interest beyond the town. We want to show off our town and all the creative people who live and work here.”
As well as showcasing local talent and performers from the wider area, Keighley Creative, the charity behind the festival, said the intention was to increase the number of people visiting the town’s retailers and hospitality venues and help reboot the local economy.
“We are delighted that Keighley Creative has been awarded funding as part of the successful Keighley Towns Fund bid to both expand and develop KAFF in future years, and to establish ourselves on a bigger and better scale in the town,” the spokesperson said.
Keighley Arts and Film Festival kicks off on Friday 8 October and runs to Sunday 10 October. Organisers said: “We hope there’s something in the programme for everyone. Why not try out something new as well as returning to old favourites?
“To complement our lively weekend programme, we also have arts and crafts workshops taking place in the run-up to the festival, bringing together different artists and audiences and ensuring KAFF has community at its heart.
“We are grateful to all our funders for supporting the festival, and to our venue partners who are hosting the programme in their buildings and public spaces. We work alongside a whole host of local people and organisations who help us bring the KAFF programme to life.
“This year we’re thrilled to be collaborating with Ilkley Literature Festival for the first time, co-hosting and promoting four events. Their support has been invaluable to us. Have a fun and safe time at KAFF21!”
