Heavy vehicles could be banned from a Keighley cobbled road when a new traffic order is introduced.
Work to repair Thwaites Brow Road in Keighley, also known as The Twines, began earlier this year.
It was funded with £190,000 of the Keighley Towns Fund, and will see setts repaired and installed in areas that have been repaired with modern materials in recent years.
Now Bradford Council has announced plans to prevent heavy vehicles from travelling over a stretch of the steep road.
The order would prevent vehicles that weigh over 7.5 tonnes from travelling over a 50 metre stretch from the road’s junction with Thwaites Bridge to Bank Top Way.
It is due to come into force on Monday.
