Shoppers in Keighley will now be able to use the Airedale Shopping centre’s 425-space multi storey car park for free every Saturday, until the end of the year.
The scheme is a joint effort between the Keighley Business Improvement District (BID) and the Airedale centre as part of longer-term recovery plans for the district.
Free parking will be available on every Saturday until December 26th this year as part of measures to support businesses following the introduction of lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Saturdays were traditionally once the busiest day for traders, and so we hope by being able to offer free parking we can help the Keighley town centre to come back stronger following the virus” says Paul Howard of the Keighley BID. “Free parking is just one of the most effective ways in which we can help Keighley businesses to bounce back.”
