Could you volunteer in the Craven area and give an unpaid carer a break?

Volunteers are needed in the Craven area

Volunteers are needed in the Craven area to help give unpaid carers a break.

People who are caring for relatives or friends often have very little time for themselves. The Carers’ Time Off scheme, run by Carers’ Resource, allows them to have a walk with a friend, go shopping or join a group or club.

Volunteers with Carers’ Time Off spend time with the person being cared for. They might sit with them at home; or go for a coffee, drive into the countryside, visit a garden centre, or go for a walk.

Training will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed. Volunteers will not be asked to do lifting or provide any personal care.

Your experience will be hugely valuable and rewarding. If you can give your time, Carers’ Time Off would love to hear from you.
