Ilkley Manor House Trust, along with two local independent artists and musicians have been awarded a total of £22,396 through Arts Council England’s investment programmes.
The programmes include ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ and ‘National Lottery Project Grants’.
Ilkley Manor House Trust has received a National Lottery Project Grant of £5,341 to support the third phase of their courtyard redevelopment. The first two phases created seating and accessible outdoor interpretation of the courtyard space and this new funding will enable the installation of electrical supply to the courtyard so lighting and power will permit performances, exhibitions, workshops and art markets to take place in the space.
Through the ‘Developing Your Creative Practice’ programme, an artist and writer has been awarded £8,540 to cover the costs of their research into ways of making work to bring connection and solace to people experiencing isolation, drawing inspiration from their own experiences of living with a chronic illness. A freelance music leader, who specialises in early years and family work, has received an award of £8,515 to undertake further training to develop their music technology skills.
Across the North, Arts Council England has invested a total of £16,023,560 in over 830 organisations and individuals.
