Arrests and drugs seized in Cross Hills after taxi stopped

North Yorkshire Police have made three arrests and seized a quantity of drugs after stopping a taxi in Cross Hills.

Officers were on patrol in the village at around 11.45am yesterday (Wednesday 16th September) when they stopped a vehicle which was suspected of involvement in drugs supply offences.

A 20 year old man and a 25 year old man were arrested on suspicion of class A drugs offences. A third man, aged 52, was later arrested in Skipton, having been linked to the incident.

As a result of the arrests and subsequent searches, about 30 wraps of suspected heroin, cash, numerous phones, digital scales, deal bags and debt lists were recovered by police.

The three men have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
