Addingham gearing up for King's Coronation

The village of Addingham will see the return of the Gala on Sunday 7th May, with an evening of free music on Saturday 6th May.

Starting on Saturday evening, there will be a live music from The Hummingbirds and Late Last Night on the main stage on the Gala field off Stockinger Lane with a food court and bar, followed by the return of the village Gala on Sunday.

The Gala has been absent in the village since 2019, but thanks to a new team of volunteers who have joined forces with the coronation team to bring a joint day of celebration. The Gala parade will come through the village lead by the gala King and Queen to the gala field where there ill be over 40 stalls showcasing local businesses, charities and good causes.

There's something for everyone at the event with a giant laser tag arena, children's carousel, inflatable rides, to traditional gala games and activities including ferret racing! The food court will be open along with a bar and seating while live music will play throughout the afternoon until 4pm and at 5.30, the live music returns with bands who will play late into the evening.

The cost for the whole weekend is £5 for adults, but is free for under 18's. Wristbands, which are only needed on the Sunday, are available in the Co-Op, Addingham Sandwich Shop and newsagents as well as online at https://addingham-coronation.com
