Skipton furnishing store plans cake fundraiser for Ukraine

Staff at The Home Company in Skipton are planning a cake bake sale to raise money for people affected by the war in Ukraine.

The charity cake bake will be held next Friday (18th March) between 11am and 1pm in the courtyard area outside the showrooms at High Corn Mill on Chapel Hill.

Store manager Michelle Swinscoe says: “We have all been very moved by the reports and terrible images on the news at the moment and wanted to do something to help. We hope people will support us by coming along to buy coffee and cake – and also bring cakes we can sell if possible!”

There will also be a chance to win some special prizes from The Home Company with a free prize draw.

All proceeds from the cake bake will go to The British Red Cross appeal to help with urgent supplies for families and communities impacted by the crisis in Ukraine and the border countries.
