Police appeal after quad bike stolen in Skipton burglary

North Yorkshire Police is investigating a spate of burglaries in the Skipton area including the theft of a distinctive quad bike from a farm.

The red Honda 250-TMZ, a 2007 model without a registration number, has a broken front right spring and cracked rear mudguards.

It was taken from a farm near Bradley during the early hours of Monday (9th January) when an outbuilding was forced open. The suspects also made off with machine tools.

Another burglary was reported at a farm near the A59 Harrogate Road just before 8am on Monday.

A JCB digger was damaged during an attempt to steal a quad bike. The suspects made off with a Milwaukee chainsaw at around 5.30am.

At this stage, it is not known if the incidents are linked.

If you see the stolen quad bike, machine tools, the chainsaw or you know where they can be found, you're asked to contact Police by calling 101 or via Crimestoppers to 0800 555 111.

The North Yorkshire Police reference numbers are 12230004611 for the quad bike theft and 12230004593 for the JCB incident.
