Mobile coronavirus testing unit returns to Keighley

Drive-in and walk-in tests for people who think they may have Covid-19 are available at Keighley Leisure Centre this week.

If you think you have symptoms of coronavirus you should make an appointment before going to be tested. The mobile units are run by national Covid-19 testing programme staff.

The units are available for anyone who has symptoms such as a high temperature, a new cough, or a change in sense of taste or smell, or are concerned they may have the virus.

It comes to Keighley on Monday 10th August, Friday 14th August and Sunday 16th August - with testing taking place in the car park at The Leisure Centre.

Strict infection control measures will be in place to ensure the testing units are operated with the highest levels of public health safeguards.

People who have symptoms of Covid-19 are not allowed to use public transport so those attending the centre will have to make their own way there

A face covering will need to be worn, and social distancing must also be followed at all times, when at the site and while travelling to and from it.

Bradford District’s first walk-in testing centre in Centenary Square in the city centre is still also open. You can pre-book an appointment or there are a limited number of drop-in tests and results should be made available within 24-72 hours.

If you would like a test, please make sure you book appointment before arriving either by calling 119 or going online at https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test. Available booking times are available on the website.
