Keighley & Worth Valley Railway prepares to reopen

One of the area's biggest tourist attractions is preparing to reopen this week after ensuring it's Covid-secure for visitors.

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway's 'Back in Steam' event starts on Wednesday (19th August)

As part of a phased reopening, the charity is offering pre-booked return journeys using private compartments which seat 1-8 people.

On Sundays there will be vintage and First Class stock that's rarely used on the railway.

KWVR says face coverings should be worn indoor in public buildings, including the Oxenhope Exhibition Hall. Face coverings can be removed when outside or in your private compartment.

Stations will have one-way systems and each compartment will be fully cleaned before each journey.

Trains will run every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (and Bank Holiday Monday) from 19th August until 30th August at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00. The last train from Keighley is 14:00. On Sundays the trains depart from Oxenhope only.
