Residents across the Aire and Wharfe valleys are being encouraged to take part in the Airedale Hospital charity's Christmas Sock Day next month.
On Friday 15th December, staff at the hospital are being invited to wear Christmas socks and make a small donation (£1 is suggested) to support the Airedale Hospital & Community Charity to make the holiday season a festive time for everyone.
And the fundraiser is open to any local residents, businesses, schools or community groups to take part in too.
You'll be able to share festive sock photos on the day on social media by using the hashtag #sockselfies and tagging @AiredaleCharity to become a "Sock Star".
Airedale Community Fundraiser, Laura Hepworth told us: “The majority of our staff here at the hospital have to wear uniforms, scrubs and lots of PPE - so wearing a Christmas jumper isn’t always possible. But they can wear Christmas socks – so everyone can join in and get festive, whilst raising funds for such a good cause!”
This year we are continuing an annual Airedale Christmas tradition: Christmas Sock Day! 🧦🎄

Our amazing nurses and doctors need to wear scrubs in order to look after our patients, so to bring them some festive cheer, we invite everyone to wear your most Christmassy socks 🌟 pic.twitter.com/Hi3SxCfEWR
