Airedale Hospital and Community Charity are holding a baking demonstration in Laycock Village Hall, Keighley on the 3 March, led by Baker Mike, a chef with 48 years of baking experience.
Those attending can expect to learn a variety of recipes for some of their favourite treats, along with the chance to peruse stalls from local businesses, including Peonies Café from Cross Hills, Charlie’s Wooden Crafts from Queensbury, and Three Little Birds Bakery from Keighley.
Included in the demonstration will be a recipe for Irish Soda Bread, to prepare for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day.
Baker Mike said: “I have committed myself to supporting Airedale Hospital and Community Charity as a big thank you for all the care my family and I have received from the hospital.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and a privilege to fundraise and give back to Airedale and the NHS with my passion for baking.”
Laura Hepworth, Community Fundraiser for AHCC, said: “Learning new recipes is the perfect way to kick off the start of spring.
“Ready, Steady, Bake! is open to everyone who wants to learn something new, and we’re so grateful to be joined by our expert Baker Mike, who has been so supportive of our charity.”
The event will start at 1pm, with demonstrations starting from 2pm. ‘Early bird’ tickets can be purchased for £10, which will then change to £12.50 for standard tickets.
