Local Co-op stores seek charities to support

Co-op stores across Ilkley, Adddingham, Silsden, Steeton, Cross Hills and Riddlesden are inviting local groups to apply for their Community Fund.

Each store selects three local causes to support each year, with 2p from every £1 spent by Co-op members going into the Local Community Fund and split between the three organisations.

The stores are particularly looking for groups that help people to access food, improve people's mental wellbeing or provide opportunities for young people.

Applications to be considered to be a supported cause this year open on Tuesday 4th May and you have until 30th May to submit an application.

Many local groups and organisations have benefited from the Co-op Local Community Fund over the years - including Friends of Ilkley Riverside Parks, Addingham Scouts, Aireworth Dogs in Need and Swimstart in Silsden.

Current projects receiving funding through the programme this year include Silsden All Stars Majorettes, Steeton Scout Group, Sutton Village Committee, Dementia Friendly Keighley, Ilkley's Clarke Foley Centre and Nell Bank.
